Rainbow Tool & Machine’s reverse engineering capabilities set us apart from other machine shops by providing an additional service in-house. When customers have damaged or broken parts or components in which no CAD data exist, we can easily solve the problem by using our Brown & Sharpe CMM or Faro arm technology. We are able to restore the missing geometry of broken or damaged parts. The digitizer then creates CAD data that is translated into a program for CNC machines. Once the geometry is re-created and programmed, we can then make a replacement part and save the CAD files for future use.
